Christian Bailey, CPO*, Owner and Founder
Christian has worked in the field of prosthetics and orthotics for the past fifteen years. In the beginning of his medical career Christian served in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. He earned a degree in prosthetics and orthotics at the University of Washington School of Rehabilitative Medicine and he completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospital. He ran a practice in Texas for five years before returning to Denver to start CTPO.
Christian acts as a consultant for prosthetic manufacturers, participates in amputee support groups and volunteers with disabled sports programs. He is a board member for the Dani's Foundation, a non-profit organization which was formed in 1999 to defeat children's cancer, support families, and to help teens with cancer to face life's challenges. He is an active member and vice chairman for the Lower Limb Society, a scientific interest group within the American Academy of Prosthetists & Orthotists. He is a contributor to non-profit charities that support people with disabilities, and a guest instructor for prosthetics at Regis University.
*CPO (Certified Prosthetist Orthotist). A CPO is a practitioner who has successfully completed a certification or degree program and residency in prosthetics and orthotics that allows him or her to practice in the field.
